My thesis show was comprised of three monitors and a small sculpture. Untitled (Weekends 12-6) is a slideshow of young men stepping onto an escalator which is displayed on a monitor that is positioned vertically and touching the floor. Untitled (With Bouncing Soles) is a 3D animation of a Doc Marten tapping its foot on the ground in a space that looks almost identical to the one the exhibition is in. The camera frictionlessly pans around the scene eventually ending up taking on the point of view of the disembodied Doc Marten. The video is displayed on a monitor attached to a stand which sits vertically about 3 feet from the wall. Untitled (Object Selections) is another 3D animation with a varying combination of virtual objects and textured surfaces that are illuminated by a spotlight. Finally, Untitled is a sculpture which is a ball bearing that is attached to the gallery wall. In the reflection the viewer sees a distorted version of themself in relation to the rest of the show.
